Scott Bywater
Principal Timpani and Percussion
Scott specialises as a timpanist, equally at home in large symphonic, early music and chamber music environments. He plays with Britain's finest orchestras, including The London Symphony Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, English National Opera, London Mozart Players and BBC Concert Orchestra as well as The Academy of Ancient Music, Gabrieli Consort, Hanover Band and Early Opera Company.
Notable recording successes include Benjamin Britten's Nocturne, Proclamation with The International Celebrity Trumpet Ensemble and The Judgement of Paris with the Early Opera Company.
In 2007 Scott accepted Associateship of the Royal Academy of Music, offered to past students who have distinguished themselves in the music profession and made a significant contribution in their particular field.
Keith Price
Co-Principal Timpani and Percussion
Keith is a freelance timpanist and percussionist based in Bedfordshire. Following graduation from Birmingham Conservatoire, Keith studied at the Royal College of Music with Matt Perry and Alex Neal.
As well as Chameleon Arts, Keith works with BBC Concert Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, London Concert Orchestra, Covent Garden Sinfonia, Sòn and Rainer Hersch Orkestra.
In his spare time, Keith is a keen golfer and enjoys watching cricket, rugby and American football.
Joley Cragg, Timpani and Percussion
Joley is a percussionist, trained at the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Orchestral work includes the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, London Mozart Players, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Workers Union Ensemble, London Concert Orchestra, and the Philharmonia (MOT.)
Theatre work as musical director and/or percussion includes numerous shows for Shakespeare’s Globe, National Theatre, RSC, and West End shows.
Fiona Clifton-Welker, Harp
Fiona graduated with a BA honours degree in Music from the University of York, and a postgraduate performance diploma from the Guildhall School of Music.
She has a varied career playing for many leading orchestras and chamber ensembles, such as the Philharmonia, the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Opera House Orchestra, and holds the position of principle harp with Southern Pro Musica.
Over the years Fiona has been a member of the orchestra for some of the best known shows from the West End of London and the Royal National Theatre. Fiona’s solo CD ‘Moments from the Movies’ is available worldwide.
